Artificial | Exhibition at Gallery 286, Earls Court, London:
9th October – 20th November 2024
An Exhibition by Jack Myntan
Step into the world of Jack Myntan, where consciousness, creativity, and technology intertwine in unexpected ways. This exhibition invites you to explore the hidden architecture of our shared reality through the work of artist Jack Myntan.
A Multi-Layered Journey Through Consciousness
As you enter Gallery 286, you’ll embark on a captivating multi-level experience that mirrors the layers of human consciousness:
The LoveConscious Gallery: Visual Algorithms Come to Life
Begin your journey in the upper space, surrounded by Myntan’s original paintings and stunning prints drawn from a lifetime of searching his unconscious mind.
The Unconscious Gallery: Delving Deeper
Next, descend to the lower level, where a video screen and exquisite prints offer tangible records of Myntan’s inner explorations with the help of artificial intelligence. Here, the boundaries between individual and collective consciousness begin to blur, creating a truly immersive experience.
Augmented Reality: Unveiling Hidden Dimensions
To enhance your experience, some pieces in the exhibition can be viewed through an Augmented Reality app on your smartphone. This innovative feature reveals additional layers of meaning, thus inviting deeper engagement with the artwork and pushing the boundaries of traditional art viewing.
Mind Portraits: A Window to Your Inner World
From October 9th to 14th, a limited number of visitors can participate in Myntan’s experimental “Mind Portrait” sessions. Using an intriguing combination of carefully curated sensory stimuli and automatic drawing, these sittings result in abstract portraits of your inner world. Consequently, you’ll walk away with a unique artistic representation of your psyche.
The Confluence of Human and Artificial Intelligence
“Artificial” represents a delicate balance between human intuition and AI-assisted processes. Myntan’s unique approach invites us to question the nature of creativity itself and explore the potential of our collective consciousness. As a result, visitors are challenged to reconsider their understanding of art and technology.
A Deeper Purpose: Exploring Unseen Influences
While “Artificial” stands as a captivating artistic experience in its own right, it also serves as an exploration of unseen influences on our thoughts and perceptions. Through his work, Myntan invites us to consider the hidden “beacons” that may shape our reality and the potential for greater awareness and connection. Therefore, this exhibition offers both visual splendor and intellectual stimulation.
